ASTM F 1869 Measuring Moisture Vapor Emission Rate of Concrete Subfloor Using Anhydrous Calcium Chloride

Lab ID: 114

Use
MVER specification of most floor covering and adhesive companies is 3 to 5 lb/1000 sq ft/24 hr. Used to investigate acceptability of floors to receive floor coverings. Also used to evaluate distress due to moisture, mold/fungus growth.

Instructions
Kits must be placed and collected by client or CTLGroup field staff, work which is not included in standard price. Consult CTLGroup contacts for detailed instructions.

Results Produced
Pounds of water vapor per 1000 sq ft per 24 hr.

Time for Results
Please contact a CTLGroup chemical services representative or Project Manager to discuss your individual project needs and testing response times.

Alternate Tests
Relative Humidity using relative humidity probes according to Swedish and Finnish building standards.
